Lab Results are In... and They're Unexpected
What's up world! Today we have some very interesting mask testing results to share with you.
Our first ROSE Project mask prototype is made of four layers: non-woven polypropylene, chiffon, chiffon, cotton. We sent this mask to Cambridge Materials Testing Labs to see how well this mask would perform.
The results were quite surprising to us: the masks passed fluid penetration standards but they did not pass breathability tests. Our team is now brainstorming which component of the mask is affecting the breathability, and coming up with new prototypes to improve the breathability.
